This chapter provides instructions for connecting to and extracting data from the MIMIC II database. There are two methods for accessing the data:
In order to gain access to the database, you must follow the instructions posted on PhysioNet (http://physionet.org/mimic2/mimic2_access.shtml)
When you have completed and signed the data use agreement, your application will be processed and your access details emailed to your account.
Once you have completed this process, an account will be created for
you to access the restricted areas of the
http://mimic.physionet.orgMIMIC II website and the MIMIC Explorer.
